FaxToFax plans explained for Canadians
Choosing a fax plan is mostly about three questions: how many pages you send and receive, how many people need access and whether you need extras such as a business associate agreement or more numbers. This faxtofax.ca guide sets out each plan in plain terms and works through a few typical Canadian examples, so you can pick the right one first time.

Paying annually instead of monthly saves about 17% on either plan. Check the pricing page for the currency and any applicable taxes in your province.
- Personal: $4.99 for the first month, then $18.99 a month. Includes 200 pages a month (sent and received combined), one user and one fax number. Extra pages are $0.10 each.
- Business: $14.99 for the first month, then $39.99 a month. Includes 500 pages a month, five users, a shared inbox and a BAA for HIPAA purposes. Extra users are $10 a month each, and extra pages are $0.07 each.
- Enterprise: custom pricing for larger organisations. Pricing is quoted for your needs.
How pages are counted
A page is one sheet of a fax, including the cover page. Both pages you send and pages you receive count toward your monthly allowance. Received pages count once.
A page sent to Canada, the United States or the United Kingdom uses one plan page. Pages to pricier countries use more plan pages, up to 55 for the most expensive destinations, such as China. FaxToFax sends to more than 220 countries. Failed faxes use no pages at all.
Here is a quick example. On Personal, sending a 4-page form to a clinic in Calgary uses 4 pages, and receiving a 3-page reply uses 3 more, for 7 pages in total. If you went over 200 pages in a month by 20 pages, you would pay $2.00 in extra pages at $0.10 each.
Extra fax numbers
Every plan includes one number. You can add more on any plan for $5 for the first month, then $10 a month each. Numbers can be local or toll-free in Canada, the US, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Porting an existing number is not available yet.
Extra numbers are useful for a second office, a separate department or keeping personal and business faxes apart. Pages sent and received on every number count toward your monthly page use, so factor their traffic into your estimate.
Which plan fits you?
- A Winnipeg freelancer who faxes a few invoices and forms a month: Personal, with plenty of headroom in 200 pages.
- A family managing a parent's care in Ottawa, sending forms to clinics and receiving results: Personal is usually enough; check usage after a month.
- A three-person physiotherapy clinic in Kitchener with daily referrals: Business, for the shared inbox, roles and 500 pages.
- A Vancouver law office with six staff: Business with one extra user at $10 a month.
- A Montreal exporter faxing regularly to Asia: check how many plan pages each destination uses, since overseas pages can multiply quickly.
Billing, cancelling and refunds
If you are unsure, start with Personal and move up later if you need more pages or users. Full plan details are on faxtofax.ca.
- Choose monthly or annual billing. Annual billing saves about 17%.
- Pay by card. Card payments are handled by Stripe.
- Track your page usage during the month so overage charges are not a surprise.
- Cancel online any time from your account. Payments are non-refundable except where law requires.
- Before cancelling, download any faxes and delivery receipts you need to keep.
